"I’m one sorry excuse for an excuse maker these days..."
I have way more ambition than I display these days. My sinuses have been giving me fits, and my entire body has reacted to this allergic episode. Even as I write this, it feels like another excuse for not doing more with my time. (You know, that precious of commodities we all run out of someday) Being involved in the lives of others in your community, can give us a great sense of purpose. I’ve fallen off in that capacity these past couple of years. I would like to say it’s because I’ve been too busy with work, but that’s a crock of shit as well. Truth of the matter is, I’ve covered every shortfall in my activity up, because I feel like shit. It’s high time to fire this social involvement aspect of my life back up again. I know with great certainty where the problems are in our community, and every other communities as well. We have to kneel down and apply a remedy to a single generation, and give them the resources to flourish, without regard to all the other existing fucked up mess currently present. I’ll leave that for the churches and government to continue to piss away their time and money on.
"Save the children..."
That motto has been around as far back as I can remember, and I’m not sure about it’s modern day origins. I’m certain there’s research or at least theories to correlate the benefits of such focus to the errating of the mass poverty from the post WWII human explosion. In 1980, 2/3 of the humans on this planet, we’re in the verge of starvation. (Not quite sure about the difference between being on the verge, and actually starving) Yet, American farmers were going bankrupt like nobody’s business. Farming cost $$, and poor people had none of that. Last year, it was suggested that more humans would die from complications from obesity than malnutrition. It’s also expected that by mid century, poverty as described above will be at the lowest level ever, as a percentage of the whole population. Now then, how in the fuck do we slow down birth rates, and deal with sustainability of the goddamned planet? If all 9 billion people act like Americans and our "Fear & Consumption" culture, the Middle East is too hot for humans, and much of the coastal areas will be submerged.
"I’ll be too old to do anything then..."
If that’s not enough to cause a ruckus, I don’t know how you could ever be ignited to take a stand. So, the question is; "What in the fuck do we do about this...?"
Well...we MUST offer more parity of development to more children. Every fucked up adult started out life as a baby. This is precisely where the work begins! Ignorance of this detail is no longer an acceptable excuse. If I can figure this shit out on my own, it can be shared with EVERYONE.
